Blair Courtland
Business Development Director
I’m going to be completely honest: talking about myself is not my cup of tea. When I found out I would have to write an autobiography, the anxiety immediately crept in. Nonetheless, I think it’s important to be vulnerable and open, as I believe you can leverage a lot of power and self-growth from just owning your biggest insecurities. As for introductions, I go by Blair, a 20-year-old who holds the position of Business Development Director here at ExpandOnline.
Allow me to share a glimpse of my story. I grew up here on the Gold Coast for most of my life. My upbringing has been quite intriguing; during my teenage years, I found myself entangled with the wrong crowd, leading me down a destructive path. Long story short, a lot of my friends either sadly passed away or ended up incarcerated – a wake-up call that prompted me to recognize the need for change. In a nutshell, I realized I had to alter my course; otherwise, my fate could mirror theirs.
A few years down the line, I dedicated significant time to self-improvement, relentlessly pursuing the best version of myself. I managed to gain 20kg in muscle mass, and gradually, I began to bring my life into better alignment. The value of health and fitness became paramount to me, as I firmly believe that a strong body equals a strong mind – an essential asset in the world of business and life.
Amidst this journey, Muay Thai emerged as a profound passion of mine, adding an exciting element to my life. And on a personal note, I recently adopted my first dog, Ellie. Undoubtedly, she’s the best companion I could have ever asked for. Right now, life feels amazing – I’m surrounded by the best people, I’m the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever been. With big dreams on my horizon, like running a marathon next year and that is only the beginning.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every twist taught me something I needed to know. As I glance ahead, I’m armed with positivity, a never quit attitude, and the power of my awesome team. Here’s to loving the moment and diving into whatever the future’s got in store.
